Happy Black Friday!

This time of year is known as the “Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. Without a doubt, the holiday season is one of my favorites, but it can also be a little stressful. Between trying to find the best gifts for our loved ones and trying to get through the last few weeks teaching before the holidays, I for one need all of the self care! For anyone else who is in the same boat, I’ve rounded up a few of my self-care essentials that are perfect to de-stress during the holidays or to help you relax any time of the year!

Comfy Cozies

For me, the first thing I need when I’m taking some time for me is to have all of the cozies! Soft pajamas, fuzzy robes, and comfy slippers are the way to go! While Pottery Barn, Soma, and Koolaburra all have some fabulous options, for those of us on a bit of a budget or just don’t see the need in spending a ton, Target, Walmart, and Loft all have some AMAZING options that’ll feel higher end, but without the price tag.

Sip and relax

Whenever I get into self-care mode, it always includes a good drink. Whether it’s a good cup of coffee that will warm me up on a chilly day or a glass of wine as I relax in the tub, sipping on something good is an easy way to treat myself and relax just a bit.

Good for your skin

If you ask me, nothing is more relaxing than a good face mask. In the fifteen minutes or so of wearing one can transform my apartment into a spa and take away my troubles. I could go on forever sharing all my favorite masks and products, but if I had to pick, the Farmacy Honey Potion mask, Peter Thomas Roth Under Eye Patches, and a Rose Quartz Roller are by far the best! These products are all amazing ways to relax, rejuvenate, and take care of yourself.

A little something extra

While there are many ways to rest, relax, and take care of yourself, enjoying a good book with a fragrant candle may be my favorite. I have always loved to read and am constantly looking for new books. One of my favorites is An Anonymous Girl. Th is female author duo creates a suspenseful plot that is impossible to put down! It is safe to say I cannot wait for their next book to come out in 2020.
